iPhone is a spam magnet
One thing that really annoys me about iPhone is the way that Mail has only two options when it comes to loading images within email messages: Load Remote Images On/Off. There is not middle ground option.
If you select Off in preferences, images are never displayed within mail messages.
If you select On in preferences, all images are loaded.
Gmail has the best workflow in these situations. By...

Button joins Hamilton at McLaren →
Everyone saw it coming so now this official confirmation now seems like a mere formality. I wonder how much he knew - if if he knew at all - about the Mercedes buy-out of Brawn and how it may have affected his decision.
Regardless, it’s now looking like there will be an all-British F1 squad with McLaren and an all-German squad at Mercedes GP… Seems like we’re heading back to...

Mercedes-Benz has announced that it has taken over the Brawn Formula 1 team and re-named it Mercedes Grand Prix after buying a 75.1 per cent stake in the squad.

The shredder
A young engineer was leaving the office at 3.45 p.m.. when he found the acting CEO standing in front of a shredder with a piece of paper in his hand.
“Listen,” said the Acting CEO, “this is a very sensitive and important document, and my secretary is not here. Can you make this thing work?”
“Certainly,” said the young engineer. He turned the machine on,...

Toyota pulls out of Formula 1 →
Real shame, no more Japanese manufacturers in F1 is bad news. That Bridgestone are also pulling out at the end of 2010 is even worse.
On the positive side, this move means that the ex-BMW Sauber team should get the green light to be on the grid for 2010.
Within their press release announcing their withdrawal, Toyota specifically mention focussing their attention on “developing exciting...

Loeb wins Rally GB and sixth title →
Six titles in a row for Loeb, incredible stuff.
Ford man Hirvonen came pretty close to spoiling the Citroen party after going into the final round leading the championship by a solitary point, ultimately losing out over just a couple stages on day two of Rally GB. His last ditch attack on the final day came unstuck when he took a yump a little to quick and ended up partially losing his bonnet,...
